The match was a WWE Championship bout with John Cena defending the title against Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler inside the structure. Here is the footage from the match:
In case you didn't know...
The match has been seen by very few WWE fans before other than those who were actually in attendance for that Raw in the Sprint Center on the 26th of September 2011, as it was not shown on TV.
That edition of Raw was six years ago now and it took place six days before the Hell in a Cell PPV in 2011. John Cena was WWE Champion at the time after beating Alberto Del Rio for the title at the Night of Champions PPV earlier that month. CM Punk was also red-hot at the time from his pipebomb promo back in June of that year.
The heart of the matter
Just a few hours ago, WWE's YouTube channel uploaded a short video of the off-the-air Fatal 5-Way WWE Championship match that took place inside of the Hell in a Cell structure.
The clip shows the final moments of the match that happened after Raw in Kansas City some years ago. John Cena retained his title following an AA on Jack Swagger, sending the fans home happy.
What's next?
This video was released to promote WWE Hell in a Cell 2017, which is set to take place on October 08, 2017, at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The show is headlined by a Falls Count Anywhere Hell in a Cell match between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens.
Author's take
I have enjoyed the way WWE have been putting a lot of their old matches on YouTube, and for those who don't have the luxury of the WWE Network, I must say it comes handy when WWE do this type of thing.
However, there is not much content WWE post which has not been seen before on TV or can be seen on the Network, so it was interesting to see them show something on their channel like this Hell in a Cell match that not many of us have seen before.
Hopefully, WWE will upload more off-the-air moments in the future.
