Will La Sombra make it big?

– WWE have found a number of hidden gems and known talents since the conception of NXT.

NXT has been a major force behind the development of WWE talent and has spawned stars that are to be the flagbearers of the company in the future.

WWE have confirmed the signing of the acclaimed Luchador known as La Sombre. La Sombra, who has been a former CPLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling star, has been welcomed onboard the WWE. Triple H posted a photo on Instagram welcoming him to NXT.

Some have this business in their blood...but all have to prove they belong. It is my pleasure to welcome Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza to @wwenxt. #GetReady

WWE have high hopes from this masked luchador and released this statement.

Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza, of Mexico City, has signed with NXT and WWE, joining the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla.

Formerly known as “La Sombra,” Oropeza is a third-generation luchador whose grandfather, father, uncles and cousins all competed in Mexico. Oropeza signed with Consejo Mundial deLucha Libre (CMLL) in 2007 at age 17, where he trained under El Satanico. While there, he held many titles, including the CMLL Trio and Tag Team titles and the NWA Welterweight and Middleweight titles.

The WWE Performance Center’s newest luchador also brings experience from Japan; Oropeza made multiple trips to Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), winning the organization’s Intercontinental Championship in 2013.

– John Cena has taken a long break from the WWE. First it was feared that it was due to some injury, but the reports were quashed as it was revealed that Cena would be shooting for a new show.

Cena will be seen in the reality tv show called 'American Grit'. Nikki Bella, who is John Cena's girlfriend posted this about him on Twitter.

– Smackdown this week saw a fall in ratings again as the numbers fell from 2.294 million to 2.229 million viewers. Ratings seem to continuously take a tumble and WWE might need to address this problem sooner rather than later.
