WWE SmackDown, 27th June - Preview
Ladder match contestants in Money in the bank will have their one last say before they meet up this Sunday on SmackDown this week. Taped in The Consol Energy Center, Pittsburg, this week’s episode provides the warm-up that wrestlers need to make a statement before the pay-per-view.
For those who have already gone through the spoilers, this article will mean nothing. However, for the ones that haven’t here is a spoiler-free preview of the show this week.
Sin Cara vs Rusev
Rusev for the past few weeks has been portrayed as a dominant monster heel by WWE who has managed to run down almost every opponent put in his way. His brawl against BIg E on RAW this week is something that has generated a lot of interests and will probably be a very pressing factor this week.
For Sin Cara to pull of an upset victory, Big E’s involvement will play a huge role and the chances of this possibility is pretty high.
Dolph Ziggler and Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio
Ziggler and Del Rio have had a history of animosity between each other. Both have delivered exceptional matches and have pretty much become WWE’s go to pair when they want a great match delivered. Cesaro and Van Dam on the other hand haven’t shown much greatness as the latter but that doesn't take away the fact that they have the potential to deliver.
Ziggler and Van Dam who will face each other this Sunday will have to keep their differences aside to come out victorious. Cesaro and Del Rio too are a part of the World Title match that will create an issue of the two working together. The team that manages to co-exist will definitely be able to make a statement before the pay-per-view.
Cameron vs Paige
Before Paige faces Naomi this Sunday, she will first have to deal with the other Funkadactyl Cameron. On RAW this week Cameron on commentary was talking about how Paige is an irrelevant character and why she deserves just as much as her partner Naomi has managed to get at the moment.
This will be Cameron’s moment to show that she is nowhere inferior to her fellow Funkadactyl and she is worthy enough of a title shot that Naomi will get on the pay-per-view this Sunday.
Bad News Barrett vs Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose after his fantastic match against Ziggler on RAW this week, will want to carry the momentum forward to the pay-per-view. The bad blood between him and Seth Rollins has seen a profound increase and it will not be very surprising if we see Rollins lurking behind Ambrose during the match.
Bad News Barrett too hasn’t been bad as he has managed to notch up some impressive victories against strong contenders. Will he see his newer foes like Ziggler and Van Dam show up? Well, that’s a possibility that cannot be crossed out. Anyway, expect this match to steal the show as both are impressive workers inside the ring.
