WWE SmackDown: 3 Things WWE secretly told us through Dolph Ziggler's assault on Kofi Kingston
This week's SmackDown Live was set upon the aftermath of a brilliant Money in the Bank pay-per-view in which we saw some stunning moments. Going into the show, we knew that Big E was going to return after an injury layoff and that Brock Lesnar could cash in his MITB contract any day.
The show started with the usual banter of the New Day, which was really hilarious. Then we came across the newly crowned SmackDown Women's Champion, Bayley. Then, a match between Sami Zayn and the WWE Champion Kofi Kingston was set.
Before the start of the match, a backstage clip showed Big E holding his knee and it was Zayn who attacked him. So, Kofi came out looking for revenge and he managed to win. But then, Paul Heyman came out with Brock's contract and that distraction allowed Dolph Ziggler to capitalize and absolutely destroy the WWE Champion.
Ziggler has finally returned after months and looks like, he is here to waste no time. So, in this slideshow, we take a look at the 3 things WWE told us from Ziggler's assault on Kofi:
#3 Kevin Owens might be out of the WWE title picture for the time being
With Kofi Kingston beating Kevin Owens fair and square in at Money in the Bank, WWE might have decided to put a stop on the feud between the two and involve Dolph Ziggler in the title picture instead.
This not just increases the unpredictability, it also shows how well WWE manages to pull off superstar returns out of the blue. While this is hard on Owens, it just makes me happy for Ziggler as he totally deserves it.
Don't really count Owens out of the title picture yet as we can see a three-man feud and if WWE decides to go with it, it is going to be absolutely awesome. But for the time being, it looks like Ziggler is going to be the next challenger to KofiMania.
