WWE SmackDown 30 June 2016 Results
This week’s (30th June) episode of SmackDown takes place in Miami, Florida. Here are the condensed results from the show, courtesy of wrestlinginc.com:
- * The show kicks off with a Fatal Four Way match between Cesaro, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio and Apollo Crews for the number one contender’s slot for the United States Championship.
- Cesaro wins, but gets beaten down by a frustrated Sheamus after the victory. Rusev walks down to the ring and starts the match immediately.
- * Rusev defeats Cesaro to retain his United States Championship, but the Swiss Superman put up a good fight.
- * NXT Superstar Billy Kay made her main roster debut against Dana Brooke. The tall Australian lost to Brooke.
- * Miz TV is next and WWE Champion Dean Ambrose is his guest. The inevitable brawl breaks out and the two set up a Champion versus Champion match as the main event.
- * The Wyatt Family make their ritual procession to the ring. Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman squash two local wrestlers.
- * Sasha Banks defeated Summer Rae, in a what seems to be a filler feud just for SmackDown and live shows. They were feuding before Sasha suffered a concussion.
- * Dean Ambrose defeated The Miz in a non-title match.
- * Tonight’s dark match saw Dean Ambrose join forces with Cesaro and Sami Zayn to defeat Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman. Here are some pictures:
