WWE SmackDown Results: Legendary 2-time Hall of Famer's return confirmed; Bloodline member's betrayal teased
Cody Rhodes kicked off WWE SmackDown and called out the Bloodline. Solo Sikoa and his gang showed up and got in the ring before asking Cody if he was done playing around.
Solo added that he deserved a rematch for SummerSlam since Roman Reigns cost him the title match.
Rhodes said there should be a title match next week for the Season Premiere of SmackDown and offered Jacob Fatu a title match instead of Solo! WWE has teased Fatu turning on the Bloodline twice now, the first being when Solo took the tag title belt off him.
Sikoa was furious, and Jacob took the hint and stepped down before Cody said he would face any of them.
Solo accused Cody of trying to get Fatu to turn on him before accepting the title match. He then threatened the Undisputed WWE Champ and snapped his fingers, causing the Bloodline to attack him.
The Street Profits and DIY showed up to back Cody up before Nick Aldis officially announced the title match for next week, even making it a steel cage match!
Backstage, Nia Jax asked Tiffany Stratton if she planned to cash in her Money in the Bank contract last week, and Stratton said she would never. Nia said she would be in her corner tonight for the opening match.

WWE SmackDown Results: Bayley vs. Tiffany Stratton
Bayley had the early advantage, but Stratton got her with a big dropkick. Bayley took the hip attack in the corner before returning with a suplex and sending Stratton outside.
Back in the ring, Stratton got taken down with a big lariat before taking a big suplex. Nia Jax ran a distraction, allowing Stratton to get the Alabama Slam for a near fall before Bayley got the Rose Plant and picked up the win.

Kevin Owens was backstage when A-Town Down Under showed up to mock him, saying that he should have been out to help Cody earlier.
KO called them morons and set up a triple-threat match with the two.
The Legado Del Fantasma were in their lair when Santos Escobar showed up and told them to stop celebrating their wins since success should be expected of them.
WWE SmackDown Results: Apollo Crews vs. Giovanni Vinci
Giovanni Vinci made his big debut on SmackDown tonight and was set to face Apollo Crews. As Vinci got in the ring and took his jacket off, Crews got him with a crucifix pin and won in mere seconds!

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were in Nick Aldis' office when Michin arrived. Green and Michin argued and set up a match for later.
WWE SmackDown Results: Austin Theory vs. Grayson Waller vs. Kevin Owens
A Town Down Under attacked Owens immediately and tried to put him through a table, but KO turned it around and put Waller through the table with a powerbomb. After a break, Owens got a big rolling DDT on Theory in the ring, followed by a big clothesline and senton.
KO got the cannonball on Theory in the corner before getting the Swanton Bomb, but Waller returned and broke up the pin. Waller hit a rolling blockbuster for a near fall, but Theory broke up the pin, causing a big argument between the two.
Owens blocked a double-team superplex and got a top rope rolling senton on Theory. Waller took a top rope fisherman's buster before KO got the Stunner on Theory and got the win.
Result: Kevin Owens def. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller on SmackDown
Waller attacked KO after the match and got tossed out of the ring before Theory hit Owens with the A-Town Down. Waller came back with the rolling Flatliner before getting the pin.

LA Knight was out next, celebrating his second title defense before Carmelo Hayes showed up to challenge him. Andrade said he should be the one to get the title match and called Knight a big talker.
Knight said that Melo and Andrade should settle things between themselves before Melo attacked Andrade and got taken out. Knight hit both of them with the BFT before leaving.
A-Town Down Under was backstage and told Nick Aldis to set up a tag match with Kevin Owens and a partner of his choosing next week on SmackDown.
WWE SmackDown Results: Michin vs. Chelsea Green
Michin started strong, but Chelsea turned it around and went after the injured ribs. Michin returned with some big strikes before getting a near fall off a rollup. Green took a dropkick, and a modified codebreaker in the corner before a distraction from Piper Niven almost let Chelsea get the pin.
Michin dodged the Unprettier before another distraction allowed Green to send Michin outside with a kick. Piper got a big senton on the floor and tossed Michin back in the ring before Green hit the Unprettier for the win.
Result: Chelsea Green def. Michin on SmackDown

We got a promo for the upcoming RAW season premiere next week, and two-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart was set to return!
WWE SmackDown Results: The Bloodline vs. The Street Profits & DIY
The Bloodline were in control as the match started with a big brawl. Solo tossed Ciampa outside before bouncing his head on the announce desk. Solo tossed Ciampa over the announce desk before we headed for a break.
Back on SmackDown, Angelo got a big near fall on Solo as the others wiped out his teammates outside the ring. Ciampa tagged back in and took the Spinning Solo for a near fall. Ciampa hit a superplex to the outside, taking down everyone before Montez was tagged in and got the 450 on Tama Tonga.
Fatu returned and took Ford down with the senton before tagging in, taking down all four opponents, and hitting the Impaler on Ford. Solo tagged back in and got the Samoan Spike on Ford twice before getting the pin.
Result: The Bloodline def. The Street Profits & DIY on SmackDown
Grade: B+
The Bloodline stood tall as the show went off the air.
