WWE SmackDown Results: Multiple injuries; new champs crowned; Cody Rhodes attacked by suspended star (12/6/2024)
WWE SmackDown kicked off with the commentary team letting us know that Bronson Reed was out indefinitely with a broken foot following WarGames, while Tonga Loa was out indefinitely, thanks to a torn bicep. Jimmy Uso was also out with a broken toe.
We saw the new Bloodline enter the arena, fight Apollo Crews, and then security before Cody Rhodes opened the show and headed to the ring. Cody was interrupted by American Made, and Chad Gable said he might be moving to SmackDown as the transfer window opened.
Gable mocked his hometown crowd before comparing Cody's 'betrayal' of Kevin Owens to how Otis turned on him. He called Cody a terrible friend, and Rhodes fired back, reminding Chad of his Shorty G gimmick and comparing it to Stardust.
Cody added that he and Gable were more similar than he'd like to admit, and Gable threatened to "kick his a**." Rhodes laughed it off and said he was there to talk to Nick Aldis before setting up a match with Gable.
Naomi and Bianca Belair were backstage when Chelsea Green and Piper Niven showed up to mock them. The two teams brawled, setting up a match later in the night.

WWE SmackDown Results: Bianca Belair vs. Piper Niven
Niven countered some early offense before locking in the Cobra Twist. A distraction from Green allowed Niven to hit a big senton for a near fall. Bianca dodged a splash before hitting a crossbody for a near fall.
Belair tried for the KOD, but Niven countered with a big suplex. The Women's Tag Team Champ came back with a brainbuster but took a powerbomb/Piper Driver. Belair caught Niven on the ropes, and Chelsea Green interfered before Bianca dropped Green in the ring and hit a KOD to Piper on top of Chelsea for the win.

Shinsuke Nakamura was out next and was interrupted by LA Knight. Knight called Nakamura out for a 'cheap victory' and wanted a rematch right then and there. As Knight headed to the ring, Andrade came out and said that he had unfinished business.
Tama Tonga attacked Andrade out of nowhere, and Jacob Fatu attacked Knight in the ring. Solo Sikoa also showed up, but they left Nakamura alone after he spilled the mist from his mouth as a warning.
Nakamura left, and the Bloodline beat Knight and Andrade in the ring before Solo got on the mic and threatened the whole locker room, saying he was tired of not being taken seriously.
Solo said he was still the Tribal Chief and everyone would acknowledge him sooner or later before SmackDown moved on.
WWE SmackDown Results: Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs. DIY - Tag Team Championship match
Ciampa and Sabin kicked off the match, and the champs got the early advantage with some big double-team moves. Gargano was tagged in and hit some big moves on Shelley before Ciampa tagged himself back in. The champs unloaded on Ciampa once more as we headed for a break.
Back on SmackDown, Ciampa missed a sunset flip before Sabin got a flying crossbody for a near fall. Ciampa returned with a neckbreaker before tagging Gargano in but then got really mad that Johnny didn't attack Sabin at ringside. Gargano and Ciampa argued, and the latter walked off to get a steel chair.
The champs were about to hit their finisher on Gargano, but a distraction from Ciampa allowed Johnny to hit the low blow. Ciampa and Gargano hit Meet in the Middle on Sabin and picked up the win.

Michael Cole headed out of the arena to interview Kevin Owens, who refused to enter and was waiting in his car outside.
Cole got in the car to interview Owens, and the two started arguing about whether helping Roman Reigns was a good thing.
Cole said Owens was the problem, and the latter asked Michael to leave the car before driving off.
Backstage on SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes threatened to leave for RAW before Nick Aldis offered him a match with a mystery opponent.
WWE SmackDown Results: Cody Rhodes vs. Chad Gable
Rhodes was taking a beating early in the match and, after a break on SmackDown, came back with a takedown but was caught in the Ankle Lock. Gable got some big chops before getting the flying headbutt for a near fall.
Cody caught Gable on the top rope and hit an inverted superplex before countering the Chaos Theory and hitting Cody Cutter. The Creed Brothers dragged Gable outside to safety before the referee sent them backstage.
Gable used the distraction to rip Cody's boots off and lock in the Ankle Lock. Cody broke out of the hold and got the top rope Cody Cutter with one boot on. Gable dodged the Cross Rhodes and went for the Ankle Lock again before hitting a big suplex but missing the moonsault.
Cody came back with the Cross Rhodes off the counter and picked up the win.

Kevin Owen showed up in the ring after the match and stomped on Cody's bootless ankle. Officials ran in as the brawl kicked off, and Cody managed to take Owens out by diving into the barricades outside.
The brawl continued at ringside as WWE SmackDown went off the air.
