SmackDown Results: Popular Superstar turns heel; Brock Lesnar gets further punishment

Charlotte kicked off SmackDown and declared herself as the leader of the Women's division on the blue brand as well as all of WWE.

Sasha Banks interrupted her and demanded a title match but Flair said that this was a new era for SmackDown and that The Boss was old news.

Shotzi made her entrance in the tank and Flair thought it was cute, before giving her a Championship Contender's match for the SmackDown Women's Title.


Charlotte vs. Shotzi on SmackDown

The match kicked off during the break and Sasha was cheering Shotzi from ringside when we returned. Flair reversed Shotzi's offense early on but the former NXT Superstar came back with a basement dropkick for a near fall.

Charlotte dropped her in the corner and got a near fall on Shotzi before the latter reversed a suplex into a rollup for another two-count. Flair went outside to taunt Banks while Shotzi was down. But the former NXT star got the drop on Charlotte with a dive through the ropes.

Back after a break, Charlotte missed a dive to the outside and took a superkick before missing a big boot in the ring. Shotzi was getting near fall after near fall but Charlotte hit a backbreaker in the corner and got the moonsault for a two-count.

Banks caused the distraction on the apron but it let Flair get the Natural Selection on Shotzi for the win.

Result: Charlotte def. Shotzi

Banks tried to help Shotzi up after the match but the latter attacked her, blaming her for the loss. Banks took a beating and rolled out to the apron where Shotzi kicked her to the floor and sent her to the tank and the barricades.

Banks took the tank to the face before Shotzi sent her back in the ring for a Diving Senton.

Jeff Hardy was backstage on SmackDown and Corbin and Moss walked in to make a terrible Halloween joke before moving on.


Brock Lesnar fined $1 Million on SmackDown

A video featuring Adam Pearce played on SmackDown where he decided to give Brock Lesnar further punishment. Pearce fined Lesnar $1 Million for his actions last week.

Paul Heyman was in an interview and wondered why everyone kept asking him about Brock Lesnar. He nervously denied knowing what Lesnar's response to his suspension and the $1 million fine will be and insisted that Brock hasn't spoken to him at all before quickly walking away.


Drew McIntyre was out next and put out an open challenge. Mustafa Ali came out and claimed that he was a far better athlete than Drew before accepting the challenge.

McIntyre started off strong but took a big boot and a dropkick before hitting an overhead toss on Ali. Mustafa took a neckbreaker from Drew but dodged the Futureshock and the Claymore.

Ali tried for a hold but Drew reversed into the Kimura Lock and made his opponent submit for a quick win.

Result: Drew McIntyre def. Mustafa Ali

Grade: C


Ali got on the mic after the match and said that the only reason no one ever supported him was because of his name.


King Xavier was backstage on SmackDown and welcomed Hit Row to SmackDown before they dedicated a song to him and Kofi.


King Xavier was out next to greet his royal subjects and knighted Kofi. Sir Kofi was celebrating when The Usos came out to interrupt them. The Usos called SmackDown 'the Bloodline Show' before The New Day challenged them to a 'trial by combat'.

The Usos took a shot at Kofi and Woods chased them off with his scepter before we moved on to a recap of the RAW season premiere from this week.

Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs vs. Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss - Trick or Street Fight on SmackDown

Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs were out next to face Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss in a Trick or Street Fight. Nakamura and Boogs were dominating early on and the latter went outside to play guitar for no real reason. Corbin attacked Boogs from behind and took him out.

Shortly after, the 24/7 champ Reggie and the title chasers rushed into the ring and ran into the stands before Boogs took Moss outside and sent him headfirst into a bucket full of apples.

After a break on SmackDown, Boogs was in the ring, being beaten with Kendo Sticks. Corbin and Moss tried to send Shinsuke through a table but Boogs saved him before taking control in the ring. Nakamura came back with a Kendo Stick before Moss was taken out by Boogs who took the End of Days from Corbin.

Shinsuke was setting up for the Kinshasa on Corbin but Moss stopped him. In the ring, Boogs was setting up for a big move but two costumed ghouls came out and hit Boogs with Kendo Sticks, letting Moss pin him for the win.

Result: Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss def. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs

The ghouls unmasked themselves after the match and it turned out to be Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

Grade: B+


Shayna Baszler was set for a match with Naomi when Sonya Deville came out and said that she would fill in as a referee since there was none available.

The match was started as SmackDown continued and Deville was favoring Shayna as Naomi came in with a Hurricanrana and sent Baszler in the corner. The Queen Of Spades got control off of a distraction but Naomi managed to reverse into a pin attempt.

Deville did not count when Naomi got but counted lighting fast when Shayna had the former Women's Champion's shoulders on the mat.

Result: Shayna Baszler def. Naomi

After the match, Naomi went after Sonya but Baszler locked in the Khirifuda Clutch to make her pass out.

Grade: C


The New Day vs. The Usos on SmackDown

Woods and Jey kicked off the match and Woods was in control early on before tagging in Kofi. Kingston got a near fall on Jey before Jimmy came in for a double team.

Kofi went for the trust fall from up high but The Usos caught him and dumped him in the timekeepter's area. Back after a break on SmackDown, Woods got a near fall on Jimmy before continuing his onslaught.

Jimmy took a big move from Woods before being dumped over the ropes. Jey sneaked in a tag and came in with a neckbreaker for a near fall.

Jey Uso was taunting King Woods in the ring before Sir Kofi was tagged in on SmackDown. Kofi missed the Trouble In Paradise and caught a pop-up Samoan Drop. Kofi took the double superkicks but kicked out of the pin.

King Woods was tagged back but The Usos didn't see it and tried to pin Kofi off of another superkick. King Woods sneaked in and rolled Jimmy up for the win in the main event of SmackDown!

Result: The New Day def. The Usos

We got a slow first hour on SmackDown but the show picked up in the second half with the Trick or Streetfight and the tag team main event.

We learned Brock Lesnar was fined an absurd amount of money for his attack on Adam Pierce last week while still being suspended indefinitely.

Shotzi got a match with Charlotte before heading into a big brawl with Sasha Banks while the Universal Champion Roman Reigns was a no-show on tonight's SmackDown.
