Analysis
The tag division was actually able to hype their historic elimination chamber bout unlike on Raw where they were given minimal time in a chaotic cluster. Cesaro/Kidd and The Lucha Dragons are both incredible teams and reportedly put on a fantastic match.
The tension between Lana and Rusev also continued. The IC Elimination Chamber should also be very intriguing. Sheamus, Ziggler and Rusev would probably be the favourites with Barrett having an outside chance. However having Barrett lose to Truth so quickly on Smackdown isn’t a good sign considering Truth was squashed by Rusev on Raw and probably shouldn’t even be in the bout to begin with.
The divas triple threat bout didn’t really get much more build with Paige simply defeating Naomi in a short match. However the match itself at Elimination Chamber should still be fairly solid.
Kevin Owens has been booked superbly both in NXT and on the main roster. It will be interesting to see though if Owens continues making appearances on the main roster after his match with Cena. Their bout at EC is also sure to be legendary.
Reigns was also featured in a prominent spot on the show once again and continued his involvement in the Rollins vs Ambrose feud despite not actually having a match booked for the Elimination Chamber. It’s possible that he may get involved in the EC main event, maybe even turning heel by attacking Ambrose to start a new feud between the two.
We are now only days away for the Elimination Chamber event and every match looks extremely promising.
