WWE SmackDown spoilers for 12/26/2014
WWE has taped its SmackDown program two days earlier in Sioux City, Iowa for this week’s show on the Boxing Day. This episode is said to be the last of 2014 and features current WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins, at each other's throats again in a tag team competition with Big Show and Roman Reigns.
This episode also features WWE United States Champion Rusev defending his title, Ryback taking on Kane, Jimmy Uso taking on The Miz and more. To top these all off, legendary Hulk Hogan took charge of this week’s show.
****SPOILERS****
- Hulk Hogan kicks off the show by announcing that he his taking charge of this week’s SmackDown. Seth Rollins interrupts him and says Hogan doesn't deserve to be in the ring anymore because it's all about Rollins. Ziggler comes to Hogan’s defense, but Big Show comes and threatens to knock out both Ziggler and Hogan. Then, Roman comes out next to help Hogan and Ziggler. Finally, Hogan announces Seth Rollins and Big Show vs. Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler for the main event.
- Ryback shellshocked Kane and won the game despite Rusev’s distraction. After the match, Rusev and Kane beat down Ryback pretty bad.
- Hogan announced that Rusev will defend the United States Championship later in the show
- Naomi defeats Alicia Fox in a quick match
- Adam Rose defeats R-Truth and the Bunny was not at ringside.
- Lana and Rusev comes out for a promo, which is followed by the United States title match. Dean Ambrose defeats Rusev by disqualification when Bray Wyatt interfered. They fight out of the ring and Ambrose tosses Wyatt over the announce table. Then Ambrose hits Wyatt with a steel chair and fills the ring with steel chairs but Wyatt retreats.
- Jimmy Uso vs The Miz is next with their partners at the ringside. Miz tries to leave after getting beat up and tries to shake hands, but Jimmy hits two super kicks and a splash for the win.
- Golddust and Stardust cut a backstage promo.
- Backstage segment with Hulk Hogan talking to Reigns and Ziggler.
- The main event of the show Dolph Ziggler and Roman Reigns vs. Big Show and Seth Rollins kicks off and is mostly back and forth until Rollins took control of Reigns and had him hurt. Ziggler finally got a hot tag after getting beat up and Reigns came back into spear Rollins for the win. Ziggler and Reigns celebrated with fans at ringside to end the show.
