WWE SmackDown: 5 segments that tell us about the results for WrestleMania 35
With WrestleMania 35 just a couple of days away, WWE went full out to build on the matches set up for the event on the last episode of SmackDown before the event.
This week’s episode of SmackDown was good in building up the matches which will unfold for the brand at the Grandest Stage of Them All and will see a few championships be defended from the brand.
While there were quite a few takeaways from what happened on this week’s show, we also managed to pick up some hints regarding what might be the outcome of some of the matches from the brand at the event.
In this article, we will look at the 5 segments that gave us a few hints regarding the results for WrestleMania 35, and what they might mean for the event.
#5 Asuka won't win the Women's Battle Royal
In an attempt to throw some light on the two battle royals that will be held this Sunday, SmackDown put up the effort of setting up a nonsense mixed tag team match.
As with any other tag team match which involves six or more people with varied interests, a brawl broke out which led to a no contest and saw every single superstar trying to survive in the ring as if they were actually competing in the battle royal itself.
Asuka was the last woman standing in the ring after throwing out Jeff Hardy, which was an extremely bold decision made by the creatives.
They should have let Mandy Rose or Sonya DeVille remain the last woman standing, and left the fans wondering who will actually be the winner of the clash. With Asuka remaining as the last woman in the ring, it feels like she won't be winning the Women's Battle Royal on Sunday, and will be eliminated last by either Mandy Rose or Lacey Evans.
