WWE Tribute to The Troops results 12/14/16, video highlights

The event will be telecasted on the USA Network at 8 p.m. ET

WWE recently taped Tribute to the Troops event from Washington, DC. The entire action was taped after the proceedings of the latest edition of SmackDown Live. The event premieres tomorrow night on the USA Network at 8 p.m. ET. 

The event features six bouts, with Superstars from both RAW and SmackDown Live coming together to pay homage to the members of the United States Armed Forces serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

WWE Tribute to The Troops 2016 video highlights:

Lilian Garcia began the night, with United States National Anthem. The opening segment featured WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns, WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Rusev (with Lana) and Big Cass. The fallout between the Superstars resulted in Mick Foley booking, Reigns and Cass vs. Owens and Rusev, for the main event of the night.

WWE Teases New Day Vs The Club Vs The Shield At WWE Tribute To The Troops:

During the event, there was a segment involving The Club consisting of AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows, along with The New Day. WWE also had The Shield pop up together in the same segment. While the three teams did not wrestle each other that night, as most of them were wrestling in other matches on the show, the segment was interesting.

#1 Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Golden Truth vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. The Shining Stars ( Eight-man tag team match to become the new #1 contender for RAW Tag Team Championship):

Cesaro and Sheamus defeated Golden Truth, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson and The Shining Stars to become the new Number One Contenders for the RAW Tag Team Championship. They will face current champions the New Day at Roadblock: End of the Line.

#2 WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Apollo Crews ( Open challenge issue by The Miz):

Following the challenge, Apollo Crews came out with Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. Crews got a victory, courtesy of Iglesias, who distracted the Hollywood-bound Superstar. The match echoed the altercation between The Miz and Apollo Crews on the latest edition of SmackDown Live!

#3 SmackDown Tag Team Champions Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Luke Harper vs. Dolph Ziggler and American Alpha (Six-man tag team match):

The new version of Wyatt Family defeated the team of Dolph Ziggler and American Alpha.

#4 Bayley vs. Dana Brooke (with Charlotte Flair) (Singles match)

A backstage segment set up the match with The Huggable one getting a victory over Dana Brooke.

#5 WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann, TJ Perkins and Jack Gallagher vs. Brian Kendrick, Tony Nese and Drew Gulak (Six-man tag team match)

The team of Rich Swann, TJ Perkins and Jack Gallagher defeated Brian Kendrick, Tony Nese and Drew Gulak, in a riveting encounter.

After six-man tag team match, the focus shifted to a backstage segment between the New Day, The Club and The Sheild, which inspired huge pop from the crowd.

#6 WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns and Big Cass vs. WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and Rusev (Tag team match)

Roman Reigns and Big Cass got a victory over Kevin Owens and Rusev.
