WWE star to make a HUGE mistake on RAW next week? Exploring potential careless move

WWE Monday Night RAW aired last night on the USA Network, and it continued the ongoing story of Xavier Woods' growing frustrations. After taking over the direction of The New Day for the coming weeks, Woods and Kofi Kingston went on to immediately lose to The Creed Brothers.

As if losing to American Made wasn't enough, Woods then had a run-in with the Latino World Order. He proceeded to disrespect WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. This incident, and his new attitude in general, could lead to him making a major challenge to Gunther next week.

The Ring General is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, a title Xavier Woods has never held. The erstwhile King Woods has never won a singles title in the Stamford-based promotion. Based on Xavier's interaction with Rey and the LWO, this is eating away at him. Still, challenging Gunther is never a bright idea given the Imperium leader's ability and dominance.

Unfortunately, Xavier is having issues controlling his temper. Woods has been lashing out at beloved stars such as Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, and Dragon Lee. After his singles match with The Master of 619 next week, The New Day member could call out Gunther and demand a title shot.

Gunther won't have the same patience for Woods' antics. While he has repeatedly rejected Sami Zayn's challenge, the Austrian could accept Xavier's. The challenge could prove to be a huge mistake on Woods' part, as he'd likely be decimated.

While Woods is a talented performer, he has lost against Gunther in the past, and The Ring General is better than ever before. This would be a bad choice to make. However, the angle is speculative at this point.

Xavier Woods can challenge a different WWE champion instead

Gunther isn't necessarily the only champion who Xavier Woods could challenge next week. There is somebody else who has a prized singles title in the men's division, and he just so happened to win the title on WWE RAW last night.

Jey Uso challenged Bron Breakker for the coveted Intercontinental Championship in the main event of Monday Night RAW. In what turned out to be an excellent match, The YEET Master defeated Breakker to win the gold.

Woods and Uso have a lot of history, both as friends and as foes. With Jey finally winning singles gold, this could motivate Xavier to go after the newly crowned champion.

However, this angle is also speculative at this point. It will be interesting to see what the WWE creative team has in store for Xavier Woods in the coming weeks.
