WWE NXT round-up: WWE star returns, former TNA star debuts
– Alex Riley has been in the WWE for a long time.
He debuted at NXT as the rookie of Miz and had a storyline going with him on the main roster. Since then he has suffered a lot of injuries and has been in and out of TV for the WWE. Alex Riley was sent back to the NXT after it was reformed and repackaged by the WWE.
He has been on the roster but does not look like making the jump on the main roster. Riley made his return to the ring in a match against Bull Dempsey. Riley, who suffered a knee injury, returned to the ring after a lengthy layoff.
His last match was against Sami Zayn on April 23rd, who himself made a comeback recently.
– Asuka has been a breath of fresh air in the Women’s division at NXT.
The supremely talented Japenese star has a brilliant character of a silent killer and charisma along with tons of in-ring prowess. Asuka – who is currently involved in a storyline with Dana Brooke and Emma – faced Emma at the NXT Takeover London.
Asuka returned in-ring action at the NXT Tapings to face Santana Garrett. Santana Garrett is a former TNA star and is known for her work as a TNA Knockout. Garrett will be featured on the NXT Episode to be aired on the 3rd of February.
– Independent Wrestling Circuit looks to be buzzing with the return of a certain professional wrestler coming back for the NXT Tapings. John Skyler featured in the NXT Tapings to be aired on the January 27th episode.
He faced ‘The Drifter’ Elias Samson.
