WWE star to be upfront and center in plotting Roman Reigns' anticipated return? Exploring the likelihood

Roman Reigns' WWE return is the one thing most fans pray for in the wrestling world today. Since his WrestleMania 40 loss, The Tribal Chief has disappeared and hasn't been seen apart from a few photos from the funeral of his father.

Since then, Solo Sikoa has taken over The Bloodline and called himself the new Tribal Chief. While Roman Reigns is heavily rumored to return this Saturday at SummerSlam, there could be a twist in how he potentially returns.

There is a saying that goes "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." This could be the case for Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Both superstars hate each other, however, they could try to overcome that hatred for one simple reason: Eliminate Solo and his version of The Bloodline.

This week on WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes has a face-to-face with Solo Sikoa ahead of SummerSlam. During this face-off, the fans could see the champ pull off a surprise and bring back The Head of the Table.

The Bloodline consists of four members currently and Cody Rhodes has only two by his side. To equal the numbers, he could announce Reigns' return this Friday on SmackDown.

This could be very similar to what he did previously, before Survivor Series WarGames. On that occasion, he gave multiple hints that Randy Orton would be his mystery tag team partner for the premium live event. The same strategy could be used by The American Nightmare this Friday.

Roman Reigns' potential return could be delayed for The Rock at SummerSlam

As much as Reigns' return is wanted at SummerSlam, there are chances it may not happen. There are many rumors of The Rock finishing his current schedule of movie shoots and potentially coming back this Saturday in Cleveland.

The night after WrestleMania 40, The Rock had told Cody Rhodes that he was going to come back soon and come for the Undisputed WWE Championship. That sometime could be as early as this Saturday.

This could also be an effective way to amplify Reigns' eventual return. The Rock could come back and attack Cody Rhodes, thus revealing himself as the new Bloodline leader.

This could then bring in Roman Reigns' return on a further date. All these events could lead the WWE Universe towards a WarGames Match at Survivor Series between Reigns' faction and the new Bloodline. This could then eventually lead to the main event some fans wanted so badly earlier this year: Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania.

Rock vs. Reigns has been in the making for some time and was supposed to culminate this year. However, due to the Cody uprising, it could not happen. That match could happen next year finally.
