WWE star who walked out of RAW to turn up at SmackDown and challenge Roman Reigns this weekend? Exploring the possibility
Roman Reigns might not have the best time at SmackDown heading into Survivor Series. The star defeated LA Knight to retain his titles at WWE Crown Jewel. The star might want to make a statement this week on SmackDown about his continuing dominance, but that might not be to his benefit with a challenge from a prospective threat in Drew McIntyre.
The star was upset this week and left WWE RAW without saying anything. Unfortunately, McIntyre lost to Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, which meant he was not the World Heavyweight Champion he had envisioned. He drove up to the show, and when he got out and was asked about his loss, he decided to leave.
The star walked out of RAW, and that may play to his advantage. Things have not been going the way he wants recently on RAW, and the star may decide to take advantage of the newly appointed SmackDown General Manager.
Approaching him this week, he could abandon RAW for SmackDown in exchange for a shot at the title.
Thus, Nick Aldis might help McIntyre challenge Roman Reigns for a title shot this week on SmackDown while striking a blow against Adam Pearce. It could also be a starting shot of a bigger fight between the two brands heading into Survivor Series.
Roman Reigns shares history with Drew McIntyre
While Roman Reigns has maintained his Universal Championship reign since the pandemic, McIntyre has not had the same luck. Although holding the title during the pandemic and showing himself to be the face that the company needed in the ThunderDome era, McIntyre's star fell off fast soon after losing the championship. By the time the fans were back, he was no longer holding the title.
Instead, he challenged Reigns and took the fight to him at Clash at the Castle as a huge fan favorite. Despite his attempts, he could not beat him. The two have even clashed in a Champion vs. Champion Match at Survivor Series in 2020, but even there, Reigns got the win.
When trying to find redemption for his loss at Crown Jewel, there may not be a more suitable candidate than Roman Reigns for McIntyre.
