WWE Stomping Grounds: 5 reasons why Vince McMahon won’t let Seth Rollins lose his Universal Championship
WWE Stomping Grounds is going to happen on June 23. In this event, Seth Rollins is going to defend his Universal Championship against Baron Corbin. This week on Raw, WWE revealed that Corbin would have a special guest referee of his own choice during his match against Rollins. Since the referee will likely be biased towards Corbin, it’s possible that he will end up beating Seth Rollins and become the new Universal Champion.
However, fans know that his loss against Corbin could increase tension in WWE and it is something Vince McMahon would want to avoid. Here are five reasons why he won’t let Baron Corbin win the Universal Championship at Stomping Grounds.
#5 Brock Lesnar will cash-in his briefcase on Seth Rollins only
After takings multiple beatings at the hands of Rollins, its unlikely Lesnar would want to cash in on any other WWE Superstar. The Architect defeated The Beast at WrestleMania 35 and since then, he is enjoying his Universal Championship reign.
On last Raw, Paul Heyman told the fans that Lesnar is no longer going to pre-announce his Money in the Bank cash-in. It makes sense though. He could have beat Seth Rollins in Saudi Arabia, but since The Beastslayer knew Lesnar is going to show up he was prepared. A low blow is what it took to prevent the cash-in from happening.
If Corbin wins, the Universal Championship saga that Lesnar’s cash-in is would flop because it doesn’t make sense. Corbin isn’t Lesnar's rival, but Rollins is. If the cash-in is going to happen, (whenever it will) it should happen on Rollins only. After all, this is how Lesnar would take his revenge from Rollins, who mercilessly attacked him with steel chairs.
