WWE Super ShowDown 2019: 5 possible finishes for Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley
Braun Strowman has had mixed results when he has wrestled in Saudi Arabia. He won the Greatest Royal Rumble in the WWE's first trip, but was attacked by Baron Corbin before his match with Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
Since this will be his third match in Saudi Arabia, will it be a second-straight loss, or will it follow the trend of a win, a loss and then a win? Bobby Lashley isn't a slouch by any means, even though he fell to Strowman in their arm-wrestling match on the go-home episode of Raw this week.
Even though he lost to Strowman, he ended the night with the momentum before the show when he tossed chalk into Strowman's face and proceeded to power slam 'the Monster Among Men.' Now that Lashley has the momentum heading into their actual match on Friday, will it translate over to a different continent?
Either man could conceivably win in Jeddah, but the manner in which they win varies vastly. Lashley is the heel in the feud, so he could use some underhanded tactics in order to topple 'the Monster.' And since Strowman is the good guy in the match, his main path to victory would be a clean win. Here are five possible finishes for the match between Strowman and Lashley at Super ShowDown.
#5 Braun Strowman wins clean
The most straight-forward albeit satisfying finish to this match would be with Strowman beating Lashley cleanly in the middle of the ring. It would continue to paint Strowman as a top Superstar on Raw and Lashley, like practically everyone, wouldn't lose anything by falling to Strowman.
'The Monster Among Men' has had a lot of stop-start pushes that have started strong but have then ended abruptly for one reason or another. Is this the first step on his next run to challenge for the Universal Championship? While I expect Seth Rollins to retain, you never know with both Brock Lesnar looming and Drew McIntyre waiting in the wings to be christened the face of Raw.
Strowman needs the win more than Lashley does, and if 'the Almighty' is allowed to take some time off in order to have a fight in Bellator, this might be a way to write him out of things for a few months. Having 'the Monster Among Men' lose to Lashley would continue the damage that has been done to Strowman over the last few years.
