WWE Supershow Results: 6-time Champion returns to the ring, Braun Strowman destroys Champion (30/11/19)
The WWE show held in Mexico City wasn't your average run-of-the-mill live event.
Billed as a Supershow, the card was made up of nine matches that featured some of the biggest Superstars on the roster.
One of the takeaways from the show was 6-time Champion Alexa Bliss's return to in-ring action after a brief hiatus.
The main event saw Bray Wyatt defend the Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio in a Steel Cage Match. Rusev and Bobby Lashley were also slated to face each other in a grudge match.
Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens had a rematch from RAW that included a very surprising finish, which added another layer to the Beastslayer's ongoing character evolution.
Cain Velasquez got a new tag team partner in a match that showcased his raw yet impressive in-ring talent.
Braun Strowman was involved in a handicap match against Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn.
Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Ricochet, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Bayley and The Kabuki Warriors also competed at the special event.
Given below are the results and highlights of the show:
#1. Randy Orton vs. Ricochet
The Viper and WWE's Resident Superhero kicked off the night with a solid opener. The match followed a predictable pattern in which Orton worked on Ricochet for most parts of the match before the comeback. This was weird because Orton worked as a babyface on RAW.ย
In the end, Orton managed to get the win over his high-flying opponent. The two Superstars have crossed paths lately on TV and social media and they could be in for a short programme going forward.
Result: Randy Orton def. Ricochet
#2. The Kabuki Warriors (C) vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks & Bayley (WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match)
That's a lot of great talent in one match, isn't it? And, they didn't disappoint.
The Women's tag-team four-way match was a brilliant showcase of what the women of the WWE have to offer.
Alexa Bliss, who returned to TV on the most recent episode of SmackDown, made her in-ring comeback after a month.
Asuka and Kairi Sane managed to retain the titles in a match that set the tone perfectly for the remaining bouts of the night.
Results: The Kabuki Warriors retained the titles
