WWE Superstars come to Chris Jericho's defense over racism allegations
The most recent episode of RAW vacillated between average and ho-hum until the main event, nay, the appearance of Brock Lesnar in the main event. But considering context, one of the segments that held our attention span for a while longer than the average was Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel.
The Universe knew that Y2J’s interruption for New Day last RAW wasn‘t a one-off. And true to form, Jericho trotted out the Tag Team champs for some more of his inimitable schooling. Things got interesting when fan favs The Usos turned up in objection of the New Day's claim of being 2015’s Tag Team of the Year.
It looked like the tempo would rise when Y2J suggested that his “back of the bus brothers”, The Usos, and he, should face the New Day right then. What followed was a different match altogether, but that isn’t the subject of discussion.
It seems that Y2J’s “back of the bus brothers” statement was perceived to be racist by some corners and drew flak on social media, according to DailyWrestlingNews. Jericho most certainly did not, and did not even have to clarify or pacify anybody, as his locker room buddies backed him up. Take a look at these tweets:
