Survivor Series is always considered to be one of WWE's biggest events of the year. Thus, it should come as no surprise that the company will be looking to create history in a number of different ways on Sunday night.

The company presents their 31st annual Survivor Series event, which for the first time, will see all Champions from both main roster brands go head to head in a number of encounters to eventually decide which is the better brand.

It seems that the stakes are much higher this year than they have been in previous editions, which should make for a much more interesting show.

Even though the show itself is quite monumental, it seems that a number of WWE stars will be following suit and create history on Sunday night as well.

The Shield were one of the most dominant factions in WWE history before their split back in 2014, and even though the trio has attempted to come back together and have been seen working together on WWE TV a number of times, they have never officially reunited.

The band finally reunited last month on Raw and had their first match as a cohesive unit on Monday night. However, Survivor Series will be the first time that the former WWE Champions have teamed together on pay-per-view for more than three years.

Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns have made up the field in a number of pay-per-view matches over the past few years, including their triple threat match for the WWE Championship back at Battleground in 2016. This Sunday will mark the first time that The Shield has walked into a pay-per-view on the same page since Payback 2014.

Interestingly, The Hounds of Justice have managed to reunite in time for the fifth anniversary of their debut at Survivor Series this weekend.
