WWE Survivor Series is just a few hours away and we couldn't be more excited! This year's card is perhaps the most stacked one in the last three years and it's a no-brainer that the addition of NXT to the mix has only made it more exciting.
While it has resulted in a bit of a cluster and overload of invasions, this could be one of the sleeper shows of the year. While there hasn't been too much hype heading into the show, it looks like one of those shows that could end up being among the best PPVs of the year.
For one, the card is stacked from top to bottom and many new, fresh faces add to the hype. Moreover, WWE has emphasized on feuds within brands as well, so it's not just about the wars.
However, once again, interbrand supremacy will be the theme of the show and with NXT in the mix, here's what you need to look forward to tonight!
#8 AJ Styles (RAW) vs Roderick Strong (NXT) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (SmackDown)
This could be the match that steals the show, so let's begin here! It's a battle of the "midcard" champions in WWE, with United States Champion AJ Styles facing NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
AJ Styles has been doing well with The OC while Strong has been outright dominant with the Undisputed Era. Shinsuke Nakamura hasn't had the same momentum but his alliance with Sami Zayn has certainly proved fruitful.
It's going to be a fast-paced, high-intensity match-up and you're not going to want to look away because if you've never seen Roderick Strong before, get ready to be impressed. If it were up to us, this would be the match to open the show. Who will win?
