WWE: Talking points from 29th July RAW

This week’s episode of RAW wasn’t quite as exciting as the past few editions of the show, and as we get closer to SummerSlam, the card looks star studded. Even though performers like Rob Van Dam don’t have a feud set in stone, it can be done within the next couple of weeks. This week’s show was star studded as well, with the likes of Bryan, Cena, Axel and Christian being involved in matches. So what were the few talking points coming out of this week’s episode? Let’s find out.

5. Punk makes his intentions clear

This week on RAW, Paul Heyman’s client Curtis Axel faced R-Truth in a non-title match, but before they could get their offenses in, CM Punk ran down and attacked Curtis Axel, and tried to get his hands on his former mentor and friend, Paul Heyman.

While Heyman escaped thanks to Axel’s interference, Punk took out his frustrations on Axel, dropping him with a huge clothesline and setting his sights on Paul Heyman. With SummerSlam getting closer, the Second City Saint would look to get his retribution against Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Things are heating up as we now get ready for the biggest party of the summer – SummerSlam.

4. Dolph Ziggler gets even with Big E Langston

This week, Ziggler challenged Big E to a match after AJ Lee lost her bout with Kaitlyn. With Big E accepting the challenge, the two locked horns before SummerSlam, but before anything could happen, AJ attacked Ziggler, causing a disqualification. With Ziggler escaping Big E’s wrath, Big E asked AJ why she did that, and before he could get any answers, Ziggler attacked Big E and dropped him with a Zig Zag from behind, thus settling his score with Big E for dropping him with the Big Ending couple of weeks ago on RAW. With the love triangle now being evident, how will things unfold come SummerSlam? We have to wait and find out.
