WWE: Talking Points from July 1st RAW
So we’re done with yet another episode of Monday Night RAW, and although it wasn’t nearly as good as the past two episodes, this week’s RAW did have its fair share of highs. To start things off, all the contenders (except for RVD of course) of the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match made their way to the ring, and claimed how they would go on to win the ladder match and cash it in to win the WWE title. Also, the WWE champion and the World Heavyweight champion collided on this week’s episode. So what were the major talking points of this week’s RAW? Let’s find out.
5. Return of Jack Swagger
This week on RAW, Antonio Cesaro and Zeb Colter made their way out for Cesaro’s match, but before that, Colter brought out the All American American, his original ‘client’, Jack Swagger. Swagger has been out of action due to an injury, and also because of his judgment regarding his DUI charges a couple of months ago, where he was found guilty. Although Swagger might not face jail time, he was slapped with a heavy fine and community service requirements.
Do I give Swagger the benefit of the doubt, and hope for his push as a main eventer? No. Swagger has thrown away the opportunities he had, and someone else deserves his spot on the roster, and who better to take that spot other than Colter’s newest acquisition, Antonio Cesaro?
