WWE: The Shield to work as a duo for now; faction won't include a new member
Seth Rollins shocked the WWE Universe, when he betrayed his team-mates Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to break up a faction that looked almost indestructible. Now with The Shield down to two, rumors were rife that UFC’s Women Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is about to join the faction. The recent exchange of tweets between Rousey and Reigns further added fuel to this speculation.
However, The Shield may not be getting a new third member anytime soon. The move may come as a disappointment for the fans who were waiting with anticipated breaths for the WWE debut of the undefeated Champion. The addition of a new member will alter the faction in ways, which may not appeal to the fans, making the creative team of the WWE to go steady with the storyline.
For now, the WWE seems to be concentrating more on the Seth Rollins- Evolution storyline. Rollins has been making regular appearances with Triple H has confirmed his current status s the new member of the group. However, this storyline is bound to have some kind of twist in it as Batista is likely to return to the company after finishing up with the promotion of his new movie, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
With Ric flair making his return to the WWE, Rollins could be expected to play a major role in the days to come.
