TNA News: "Broken" Matt Hardy reveals future plans in an interview

“Broken” Matt Hardy calls out Bray Wyatt

It has taken the wrestling world by storm. Matt Hardy’s “Broken” gimmick has been a bittersweet experience for wrestling fans. It is easy to see why fans don’t easily relate to a man who has multiple different accents and threatens to eat people up.

A particular aspect that has spiked the interest of fans is the recent Twitter war of words between Hardy and Bray Wyatt. The WWE took a page out of TNA’s book when they aired the Wyatt family and New Day’s “compound match” a week after Matt and Jeff’s “Final Deletion” saga. While the latter was satirically booked and generated a lot of buzz, the former was seen as WWE’s way of saying, “We can do it too”.

In a recent interview, Matt Hardy revealed that he wanted to step into the ring with none other than the “Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt. “Broken” Matt Hardy, said that he has “fondness and appreciation” for Bray Wyatt. He went on to say that he respected the fact that Bray Wyatt, like him, “doesn’t walk the normal path”.

“If The New Day and the Wyatt Family would have been there with me, I would have not only deleted them, I may have even eaten them,” said Hardy. “My brokenness has made me become more primal, more instinctual.”

Imitation, Hardy agreed, is the sincerest form of flattery. “It’s wondrous to see your masterpiece be emulated as such,” exclaimed Hardy. “It’s truly delightful.”

When asked about what was next for him, apart from deleting and eating the likes of the New day and Wyatt family, Hardy replied by saying that the title of the world would be the first thing to make him whole again.

Stating that his condition may be a permanent issue, Hardy went on to say that if the world title was not enough, the “Seven Deities” would send him a message. He said that he had a greater purpose in life than being a normal person and when the "Seven Deities" deemed it fit for him to be whole again, they would let him know and he would fulfill that mission.
