WWE: Triple H's 'plan B' for John Cena on Raw referred to a Brock Lesnar return
As witnessed on last Monday Night Raw, Triple H mentioned about a ‘plan B’ awaiting for John Cena if he manages to retain his title at WWE Battleground PPV.
The new WWE World Heavyweight champion was beaten down on Raw by the Authority subordinate Kane and Seth Rollins came out to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase contract which convinced many of the fans that this was the plan that Triple H was earlier referring to.
But the news coming out from backstage is that Triple H’s ‘plan B’ actually hinted towards the imminent return of Brock Lesnar who will be challenging John Cena for the titles at SummerSlam.
Of course, with the leaked poster of SummerSlam featuring Cena and Lesnar on the cover it was only expected that the WWE will gradually start working on the return angle as the biggest event of the summer is approaching near.
Although, the plan was to make Daniel Bryan face Lesnar for the title, the injury to Bryan changed the whole scenario and creative had to go back to Cena for the time being. Since Bryan was stripped off his titles, the decision to crown Cena as the next champion was already taken.
