WWE News: Tyson Kidd talks about his surgery and unlikely recovery
Last year in June, WWE confirmed that former Tag team Champion Tyson Kidd, seriously injured his neck. The injury occured after Samoa Joe delivered a Muscle-buster on Kidd in a dark match prior to RAW. That injury was so severe that only 5% of the people that sustained it had survived in the past, and Kidd was lucky to be one of them.
After undergoing a successful surgery, Kidd announced that he would be out of action for more than a year. He had 16 staples, 4 screws and a rod inserted in his neck. Now, a year after he sustained the injury, he tweeted the following :
One year ago today, I had c1-c2 spinal fusion. I'm grateful for a "second chance at life." pic.twitter.com/jPzr45T3QF

Several people who had sustained a similar injury ended up being paralysed. Even Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter comments that "it is unbelievable that Tyson Kidd came through as well as he did".
Although Kidd has recovered commendably from his injury, his career is still in jeopardy as his physical condition may prevent him from lacing up his wrestling boots ever again.
Tyson Kidd made his official WWE debut in 2009 and was managed by her real life girlfriend Natalya.
During his 6 year tenure in the main roster of the company, he won the WWE Tag Championship on three different occasions.
