WWE: Update on Sting's status for WrestleMania XXX
WWE wants to make WrestleMania XXX even bigger than last year. Legends like Hulk Hogan and “Rowdy” Piper are already back in business and Batista will also be featuring in the biggest event of the year.
As we reported earlier, WWE wants Sting to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX. He is one of the opponents who WWE fans want to see in the ring with The Phenom. Sting has already admitted that he is having talk with WWE and that they were very close to make a deal.
Now a recent report from Wrestling Observer claims that,
“WWE is still talking to Sting about coming in for some appearances in the near future. The very fact that these discussions are taking place means the outlook is fairly decent for seeing Sting finally debut in WWE in 2014.”
In 2012 Sting had an interview where he said that he want to face The Undertaker in near future. He also said that 2011 was the year when WWE and Sting came very close on signing the deal.
Since then Wrestling fans are dying to see both men in the same ring. Sting hasn’t renewed his contract with TNA Wrestling yet. That’s probably because TNA is not having a good business nowadays. Many of the TNA wrestlers have left it and maybe Sting will do the same. So this might be a good opportunity for WWE to sign him and put him in a match against The Undertaker.
In this week’s Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has mentioned,
“The company has believed for months that Sting was coming in this year and it’s been talked about of late even more like it’s going to happen. Sting first had to work out his TNA contract before they can officially negotiate a deal.”
I hope that we will see him at WrestleMania or maybe at The Royal Rumble.
