WWE veteran reveals when he might retire
In a recent sitdown with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for WWE Network, iconic wrestler Paul Donald Wright Jr aka Big Show discussed the topic of his retirement, with the South Carolina-born wrestler stating that he may hang up his massive boots in two years, according to reports wrestlinginc.com.
The 44-year-old, who is literally a massive figure on the wrestling scene since the late ‘90s, has fallen out of favour in recent times and currently isn’t involved in as many events as he’d like to be; nor has he gained support from either babyfaces or heels.
Wright has also received flak from WWE fans in general, with chants of “Please Retire” not uncommon whenever the giant steps in the ring, which has not gone unnoticed by the man himself.
However, even if Wright gives in and throws in the towel in the near future, if he feels his career - which many believe is in its twilight phase – has run its course he can still leave the franchise with his head held high.
The 7-footer boasts of two WWE Championships, two World Heavyweight Championships, five World Tag Team Championships, one WWE United States Championship, among other illustrious titles.
