In case you did not know…

Enzo Amore won the Cruiserweight Championship back at No Mercy when he defeated Neville. He later dropped the title to Kalisto after a 15-day reign but went on to regain the title at TLC. At Survivor Series, Amore and Kalisto locked horns for the title once again with Enzo retaining the gold.

The Smacktalker Skywalker is currently involved in an on-screen relationship with Nia Jax.

The heart of the matter

Enzo Amore retained his title against Cedric Alexander at the WWE 205 Live Event show in Poughkeepsie thanks to interference from Nia Jax. In the ending segment of the match, Nia, who was the special guest referee, took out Alexander with a Samoan drop and made Enzo cover him before going for the three-count.

Nia and Enzo then went on to celebrate in the ring after the match.

What’s next?

The relationship between Enzo and Nia is expected to unfold further in the upcoming episodes of Monday Night Raw. While they are unlikely to get a slot at the 25th-anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw due to some legendary appearances, the couple could feature on the episodes that follow or even on 205 Live.

Author’s take

WWE Live Events are never boring. They often provide the fans with things that they usually don’t get to see on television. The match between Enzo and Cedric was something similar.

Nia helping Enzo retain the title adds more layers to their storyline. The fact that WWE posted the video on their official Instagram page suggests that the promotion want the incident to be out, in the public.
