Bad News Barrett, aka Wade Barrett, was released from WWE on May 6th, 2016. As a part of ‘Spring cleaning’ ,the WWE removes several fringe superstars from the roster to make space for future talents and this year,Wade Barrett ended up in that list.
He was not the only one though, with Santino Marella, Damien Sandow, Hornswoggle, El Torito, Zeb Colter, Alex Riley and Cameron rounding up the list.
And after being released, Barrett confirmed that his contract was supposed to end in June 2016, but he and WWE had agreed to an earlier parting of ways.
Recently, Barrett changed his Twitter handle from @WadeBarrett to @StuBennett, which is his real name. Wrestlinginc.com reports that the former WWE employee had briefly changed his Twitter handle to @StuBennett last year before changing it back to the previous one.
