Huge surprise opponent rumored for the Undertaker
As reported earlier, due to the negative fan backlash that a possible Braun Strowman vs Undertaker match had garnered, WWE nixed the plans for WrestleMania 32.
Vince has been reportedly pushing for the match to happen, but IWC’s hate towards the idea in the first 24 hours of the news breaking out itself may have lead to the WWE trashing the idea.
Well-placed backstage sources have claimed that WWE, after seeing the not so pleasing reactions to the match, dropped the ball on it and started scouting for opponents for the Deadman.
When it comes to Undertaker’s backup opponent, sources say that a completely unexpected name could be Undertaker’s opponent, whose name has not been revealed yet. The details of the opponent have just not reached a majority of the sources and only a select few know of the plans backstage.
Undertaker has been rumored to face Cena at WrestleMania if the Cenation leader makes it back in time, which is highly unlikely.
That leaves us with minimal options as to who the surprise opponent would be. The first name that comes to mind is Kevin Owens – an option that is universally backed by the IWC – who feel it would be reminiscent of the Punk-Taker rivalry.
The name cannot be concealed for long, so stay tuned for more updates on the same.
