WWE WrestleMania 33 News: Fans threaten to boycott WWE
What’s the story?
WrestleMania 33 is now in the books and although there were several memorable matches on the show, the main event left a lot to be desired. Several fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the closing moments of wrestling’s biggest show, and they started tweeting with the hashtag #boycottWWE.
In case you didn’t know...
When it became apparent that The Undertaker and Roman Reigns were going to have the last match at the thirty-third edition of the Show of Shows, several fans began to hope for something special. They were looking forward to a Reigns heel turn or a fairy tale ending for The Deadman, but they got WWE’s equivalent of Old Yeller instead.

The match was painful and riddled with botched spots. It was 23 minutes before Roman Reigns, mercifully, put down a physically diminished Undertaker. If this was indeed The Undertaker’s last ride, it was an underwhelming end to one of the greatest careers in WWE history.
The heart of the matter
The fans felt that The Undertaker deserved better treatment, and there was a significant amount of internet outrage after the main event. In fact, #boycottWWE gathered a significant amount of traction on Twitter.
One Twitter user said that Roman Reigns will be hated even more.
@WWERomanReigns is the worst actor in the entire industry. The win at #WrestleMania didn't give you a push. Ppl hate you more. #boycottwwe

Another user just stated that WWE had lost another fan
@WWE you just lost a lifelong fan #Wrestlemania #boycottwwe

One fan stated that he was hoping for continuous CM Punk chants on the Raw after WrestleMania 33
I hope there's a continuous "CM PUNK" chant at Mania tonight. The least they deserve after buying an ironic cabinet seat. #boycottwwe

This fan said that WWE didn’t know how to make stars and that they were stealing from other promotions
@TripleH @WWENXT Too bad your lame a** company doesn't know how to make stars. Just steal them from other companies. #WWESucks #BoycottWWE

We’d like to see him try.
What’s next?
Expect the fallout from this match to be a point of focus on the Raw after WrestleMania. If this is it for The Phenom, there could be a farewell ceremony similar to the one that WWE held for Ric Flair.
Author’s take
Despite the flaws of the main event, I enjoyed WrestleMania as a whole. It is painfully obvious that age has robbed The Undertaker of his durability and mobility. Therefore, I am ready to bid The Deadman farewell.
