WWE WrestleMania 33 News: The Hardys talk about their suprise return
What’s the story?
The WWE has released a backstage video of the Hardys talking about their return to the company after a seven-year hiatus.
In the video, Matt Hardy says, "This is so cool, we are coming back home to where we started. To be able to have that opportunity on this show to re-debut in WWE is actually a magical moment."
The context
After weeks of speculation, the Hardy Boyz, finally, returned to WWE (as was reported first by Sportskeeda). The Raw Tag team title match was initially supposed to be a face-off between The Club, Enzo Amore and Big Cass, and Sheamus and Cesaro. However, The New Day appeared just before the match was about to start and announced that it had just become a Fatal Fourway!
Cue the Hardy Boyz’ entrance music and they were back and how! Not only did they return to the company after seven years, but they went on to defeat their opponents and in the process become seven-time Tag Team Champions.
The heart of the matter
As seen in the video, the Hardys were visibly excited at having returned to the company. They said that they were expecting the fans to be loud and boisterous and hear a lot of DELETE chants.
On being enquired about how they expect the WWE locker room to receive them, Jeff was a little apprehensive as he admitted that it could have gone either way. However, for the most part, the people are happy with their return.

What’s next?
With the Hardyz taking home the Raw Tag Team Championships, it is a given that they will appear on subsequent episodes of Monday Night Raw.

The two veterans of the industry stole the show at WrestleMania 33. The fans were on their feet and the pop was humongous! The fact that the Hardyz won the Tag Team Championships in a ladder match made the occasion even more magnificent, and it was a sure-fire WrestleMania moment!
Another interesting thing to note is that this was the first out of character Matt Hardy interview since he started the BROKEN gimmick – a gimmick that has taken the pro-wrestling world by storm.
