WWE WrestleMania 35: 3 reasons why Brock Lesnar will retain the Universal Championship at the PPV

Brock Lesnar!

The Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania, is just around the corner. There are plenty of exciting match-ups scheduled for the show with the two main matches being the RAW Women's Championship and the Universal Championship.

The Kingslayer, Seth Rollins, won the 2019 Royal Rumble pay-per-view and then went on to challenge the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, for the Universal Championship.

These two are no strangers to each other as Rollins has faced Lesnar before at the 2015 Royal Rumble and Battleground pay-per-views. Both times, the result swung in Brock Lesnar's favor, though the victory wasn't clean.

Seth Rollins will be looking for retribution at the 35th anniversary. While Rollins is a heavy favorite to dethrone the Beast, I will give you 3 reasons why Brock Lesnar will retain the Universal Title at the biggest PPV of the year.

#3 Being fit for his UFC return

It is finally looking like Brock Lesnar is all set to step foot inside the Octagon once again. It has been heavily rumored that Lesnar will leave the WWE after WrestleMania to fight in the Octagon.

ESPN's Ariel Helwani gave an update on the situation and said that the UFC wants him back and Lesnar himself wants to return to the company.

If Lesnar goes back to the UFC, we may see the inevitable heavyweight title fight between him and Daniel Cormier in August.

Lesnar is over 40 years old now, and he last fought for the UFC at the UFC 200 PPV and defeated the Australian Mark Hunt. Lesnar’s win was eventually awarded a No Contest as the former UFC Champion tested positive during a post-fight drug test.

If Lesnar indeed plans to return, he might refuse to have a grueling match with Seth Rollins in order to be a hundred percent fit for his UFC return, the same way he refused to do anything at WrestleMania 32 against Dean Ambrose and that match ended up being a disaster, and if the match turns out to be short, there is no way Seth Rollins will be crowned as the new Universal Champion at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
