WWE News: Fight breaks out in the crowd at WrestleMania 35 during Reigns vs McIntyre
What's the story?
Roman Reigns made his return to singles competition last night as he faced Drew McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 35. The fans were quiet for a large section of the match until the suddenly erupted at one point. As confirmed by Ringside News, We can now confirm that it was because a fight broke out in the audience.
In case you didn't know...
Roman Reigns relinquished the WWE Universal Championship last year after announcing that he was sick. Reigns left the WWE to take care of his health and spend time with family. After making a miraculous recovery, Reigns returned to WWE earlier this year. Reigns teamed up with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins at WWE Fastlane as The Shield beat Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley.
Ahead of his match with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, Reigns put him over huge in an interview in the run up to the show:
"Over the years, I've always faced a veteran, someone who's a bit older in their career. So I'm really excited to go against a younger Superstar, someone from my generation. And I think the fact that we're both a couple of young lions, we're going to go out there and hit pretty hard. So I think the intensity will be at a different level than the rest of the card.
The heart of the matter
If you noticed during the Reigns vs McIntyre match, the crowd suddenly erupted at the point where McIntyre talked trash to Reigns before slapping him.
The cheering began when a fight began in the crowd and got even louder when the people involved were led out by security.
What's next?
Reigns picked up a massive win at WrestleMania. He could be set to be a part of the title picture on RAW again soon but we'll find out more later tonight.
