WWE WrestleMania News: Fans arrested for trespassing at WWE hotel in Orlando
What’s the story?
WWE Fans are quite the determined bunch when it comes to meeting their favourite performers. There is no shortage of stories of fans trying to get close to WWE Superstars in airports, restaurants, and even gyms. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, fans in Orlando for WrestleMania should probably give WWE Superstars their privacy as they prepare for the Showcase of the Immortals.
In case you didn’t know...
Some fans have been known to invade the privacy of certain athletes from time to time. Recently, a fan approached Randy Orton as he was attempting to work out at a local gym for a photograph. Orton denied the fan’s request and got upset when the fan took a picture of the Viper anyway.
That situation is admittedly one of the more tame instances of such a situation.
The heart of the matter
Based on the report, there have been instances of fans being removed from the premises of the WWE hotel in Orlando, Florida for trespassing. The report also states that there have even been some arrests made related to trespassers at the WWE hotel.
What’s next?
WWE will be in Orlando all the way up until next Tuesday’s broadcast of SmackDown LIVE. The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony is the unofficial kickoff of the WrestleMania Weekend festivities, which include the WrestleMania event itself on Sunday.
Author’s take
Fans in Orlando that are specifically in town for WrestleMania will have plenty of opportunities to interact with their favourite WWE Superstars over WrestleMania Weekend. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to take this kind of illegal action just for a glimpse of a WWE Superstar.
WWE’s Fan Axxess is going on this weekend from today, with Randy Orton and other stars in attendance to sign autographs and do other promotional activity all the way up until Sunday when WrestleMania 33 will go down. WWE Axxess touts unprecedented access for fans to meet their favourite WWE Superstars and Legends.
I can understand the impatience, as WrestleMania is a very exciting time of the year. However, if you’ve got tickets to this weekend’s series of WWE events, it isn’t worth the risk to end up missing those events for a brief interaction with those Superstars as they are trying to enjoy their privacy.
