WWE's attempt to erase CM Punk off the history books, WrestleMania, Del Rio gear
- WWE is never pleased when one of their top stars, who they built to be the face of the company, leaves on short notice and starts talking smack about the largest promotion in the world.
WWE is trying their best to disassociate themselves from Punk as they want him erased from its history it seems. According to reader Danny Brass who purchased WWE’s new “Undertaker: 25 Years of The Deadman” magazine, doesn’t feature Punk’s name when it comes to ‘The Phenom’s’ legendary WrestleMania matches list.
The tribute magazine doesn’t mention Punk and Taker’s WrestleMania 29 match and skips straight to his WM 30 bout with Lesnar, which is really a shame considering how epic their match was. Below are the photos sent in by the fan:
- Speaking about WrestleMania, the grandest sports entertainment spectacle of all, was included in the ‘Forbes Fab 40 list’ that featured the most valuable sports brands of 2015.
It came as an improvement from last year, as WM jumped from #8 for 2014 to #5 for the current year. WWE posted the following note on the great news:
Forbes has released its annual “Forbes Fab 40” for 2015’s most valuable sports brands. Last year, WWE’s Showcase of the Immortals – WrestleMania – ranked No. 8. For 2015, however, The Grandest Stage of Them All ranked at No. 5, proving that every yearWrestleMania gets bigger and better. With The Show of Shows emanating from AT&T Stadium in 2016, there may not be much standing in WrestleMania’s way of the coveted top spot.
- The WWE Universe were left stunned when Alberto Del Rio made his much talked about return at Hell in a Cell to become the new U.S. Champion. The WWE, it seems already had been brewing up plans for the Hispanic star’s return much in advance as they released new Del Rio t-shirts or sale.
Del Rio wasn’t alone as he was accompanied by an unlikey manager in Zeb Colter. How WWE uses Colter and Del Rio together is a mystery.
