WWE's newest talent Shinsuke Nakamura gets help from fellow countryman and former star

Shinsuke Nakamura is preparing for his WWE debut

WWE are known to go an extra mile to help their fresh recruits settle in, and have proved so once again by coming to the aid of their newest find – Shinsuke Nakamura, who is set to receive help from former WWE wrestler and fellow countryman Sho Funaki.

Nakamura was reportedly received by Funaki, who has also aided other Japanese stars in getting used to the United States, as soon as he touched down at New York City’s JFK airport, and will pay a visit to WWE’s Performance Centre in the near future.

According to PWInsider, the 35-year-old’s first visit to the United States will last for two weeks, after which he’ll head back to his homeland. The Japanese national will then jet back to the States in time for WrestleMania 32 weekend, during which he’ll face off with Sami Zayn at WWE NXT “Takeover: Dallas” on April 1st.

His match against Zayn could mark the start of his full-time career with the NXT brand.

Before being tapped up by WWE, Nakamura made his name in his homeland with a long stint in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he’s won many titles and is a legendary figure.
