WWE/TNA News: Matt Hardy on Total Nonstop Deletion, Young Bucks, Final Battle, staying in TNA in 2017 and Anthem
Matt Hardy has had a career resurgence as of late, with his “Broken” character drawing critical acclaim from viewers worldwide. As Total Nonstop Deletion comes closer, Matt Hardy was recently interviewed by the Channel Guide Magazine, where he spoke about the much-anticipated event, Anthem, his future with TNA and much more.
When asked about his thoughts on the response the concept has generated, Hardy said that he feels it has been overwhelming and very flattering.
Hardy went on to say that the event would be enjoyable, He added:
“When people see ‘Total Nonstop Deletion’ and Apocalypto, I’m going to make a very bold statement. It is going to be the most enjoyable 45 to 50-minute match you’ve ever seen in the history of professional wrestling. It’s almost like a wrestling match wrapped inside a movie. It’s going to be absolutely unbelievably entertaining.”
He feels that the event will top the work that they had done for the “Final Deletion” and is pretty confident that the viewers will want to watch it again and again. Hardy continued by saying that there will be several surprises on the show, as they have worked hard in bringing the top tag teams together.
“To do this, it’s a very complicated process. We invited every tag team from all space and time. The Bucks of Youth, the Day of the New, all of these tag teams have been invited. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express has accepted our invitation. There are going to be many surprises during the entire episode. It was a big undertaking to get them here and involved and put together all of it. It’s something we worked very hard on and the final product we are very proud of.”
Hardy also spoke about the “Young Bucks” and their potential as a valuable tag team in Apocalypto:
“I want the Bucks of Youth to be present in Apocalypto. I want the Day of the New to be present in Apocalypto.”
Hardy also said that he would be more than happy to perform for ROH in exchange. “We would be happy to go to an ROH show in exchange. I would make the same offer to MeekMahan and the Day of the New. They come to Apocalypto, and I would go to Monday Night Raw,” he added.
Next, Hardy was asked about his present mind state at TNA, he declared that he is happy with how things are going, he continued by saying that his deal comes up in February.
Hardy also talked about the current situation of TNA. He stated that he sees the new investments as a positive sign for things to come, and is excited to be an integral part of the company moving forward.
Hardy was next questioned about the much talked Anthem’s deal with TNA. Hardy declared that he sees it as a new beginning.
“I just think there needs to be a new face of Impact Wrestling.”
He also emphasised that he would be happy to help by taking bigger roles to make TNA great again.
“I would like to be one of the guys to take a bigger role in Impact Wrestling. I would like to help out as far as creative aspects and other ways. There are so many men and women who have incredible potential in Impact Wrestling. I would like to be part of the process that helps them to be as good as they can and to help TNA reach their ultimate potential.”
