Xavier Woods to ignore a 38-year-old star in need? Exploring potential last straw for Kofi KingstonĀ

Things aren't exactly peachy between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston right now. Yes, The New Day is in a Number One Contenders Triple Threat Match for the World Tag Team Championship, but Kofi and Woods are far from their usual selves. In particular, Woods is on somewhat of a mean streak, as he continues refusing to help some of his fellow superstars. Well, this could lead to the beloved group breaking up, especially if Woods denies helping one particular 38-year-old star.

While they may be a duo now, The New Day used to be a trip. The faction originally consisted of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and 38-year-old star Big E. Unfortunately, the former WWE Champion suffered a severe neck injury in March 2022 that has had him out of action for years. Well, there have been rumors of a return, but even if that isn't the case, he could potentially find himself in a precarious situation one night on RAW.

Assuming this comes to pass and Big E is at the mercy of another superstar or group, say The Final Testament, he will undoubtedly look to his friends for help. Well, in such a situation, Kofi Kingston will be more than ready to rush to his aid. However, based on his recent actions, the same probably cannot be said for Xavier Woods. He may refuse to help, which will ultimately rub Kingston the wrong way, leading to The New Day being officially disbanded.

It would certainly be the end of an era. The New Day is undoubtedly one of the greatest stables in WWE history. But at this point, this is nothing more than speculation.

A WWE Hall of Famer has issued a warning to Xavier Woods

Xavier Woods' recent change in behavior has definitely caused some tension among his colleagues. Former friends and allies are starting to distance themselves from the 12-time tag team champion. One of those who have turned against Woods is WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Just a few weeks ago, Woods defeated Mysterio in a match but did so in a controversial manner by taking off Mysterio's mask.

This obviously didn't sit well with Rey, who, alongside Dragon Lee, is scheduled to take on The New Day and the War Raiders next week in a Triple Threat tag team match. In light of their upcoming clash, Mysterio issued a warning to Woods, advising him against pulling off the same stunt he did a few weeks ago.

Should Woods try such an antic, Mysterio has promised to put him in his place. The tension in the air is definitely palpable. It will be interesting to see what goes down next week on RAW.
