Xavier Woods return time frame revealed
It's been a little over a month since the New Day's resident YouTube sensation was put on the shelf. Following a nasty Achilles tear while working a show in Australia, Xavier Woods underwent surgery on October 25th. It was unknown when he would be making it back to the ring, and although he attempted to give the WWE Universe some news following the surgery, we were still left without much of a timetable.
Woods did his best to quell any rumors regarding the situation. There was one rumor, specifically, circling the web that the multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion's career may be shortened significantly. Woods hoped to put these theories to bed with the tweet above.
That being said, we've yet to hear anything regarding when Woods would be returning to the ring. Kofi Kingston and Big E have done a fantastic job of keeping him on the minds of the fans on various WWE shows, with the current SmackDown Tag Team Champions wearing gear honoring their fallen friend. And now, after a month of silence on the subject, we may finally know when he'll be returning.
In an interview with CBS's Chuck Carroll, which Carroll himself assured would be published very soon, he asked the trombone playing Superstar what his time frame looks like when it comes to an in-ring return.
Woods reportedly revealed that it would be between five and nine months, with a lot of room to adjust.
