FTW Championship is a professional wrestling championship created by Taz in ECW back in 1998. Though the title went defunct a year later in 1999, Taz re-established it in AEW in 2020. The inaugural champion was Brian Cage, who was gifted the title by Taz. Cage would go on to hold the championship for 377 days, after which he dropped it to Ricky Starks at AEW Fyter Fest Night 1 on July 14, 2021. The current champion is Hook.
Current FTW Champion
Hook is the current FTW Champion in his third reign with the title. He defeated the former champion Chris Jericho at AEW All In in an FTW Rules Last Chance Match. Had Hook lost this match, he was forbidden to challenge for the title as long as Jericho was the champion. Hook won the match and became the first wrestler to hold the title thrice.
