Miro's Professional wrestling career
In the mid-2000s, he moved to the U.S. and began training at the Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy. He signed with the WWE in 2010 and was given the ring name Alexander Rusev. He was given a gimmick of a Bulgarian brute, who was anti-American. He wrestled his first match on an episode of FCW, where he defeated Mike Dalton. WWE rebranded FCW as NXT in 2012, and he made his NXT debut in a battle royal match.
Miro made his main roster debut in 2014 and quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in the company. He won his first championship in WWE when he defeated Sheamus to become the first Bulgarian-born United States Champion and lost that championship in WrestleMania 31 to John Cena.
