Al Horford: A Brief Biography

Alfred Joel Horford Reynoso is a Dominican professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the NBA, He played college basketball for the University of Florida and was the starting center in their team which won back-to-back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007,He was drafted with the third overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He is a five-time All-Star

Horford had a hugely successful rookie season in 2007-08, He was the only player unanimously selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team; he was also runner-up for Rookie of the Year honors and was also named Rookie of the Month on four separate occasions.

He was named as an All-Star for back to back season in 2009-10 and 2010-11, he was also named in the All-NBA third team in 2010-11, he returned to All-Star form later again in 2014-15 and also in 2015-16

Horford signed a four-year, $113 million contract with the Boston Celtics on July 8, 2016, after becoming an unrestricted free agent, in his 2 seasons with the Boston Celtics, Horford has made 2 conference finals appearances and 1 All-Star game appearance in 2018.
