Joel Hans Embiid is an American basketball player who has been active in the NBA for the past decade. The seven-time All-Star power forward was selected as a 3rd overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He hails from Cameroon and is the second player from Africa to secure the NBA’s MVP Award.
Embiid has been with the 76ers for the past 10 years and was NBA’s Most Valuable Player award in 2023. Last season, Joel Embiid scored breaking the franchise scoring record of 68 points set by Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain. As a center, Embiid has averaged 27.9 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in his decade-long career in the NBA.
