Lebron James is a professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles lakers in the NBA. Throughout his 22-season NBA career, he has been hailed as one of the greatest players in the league's history. James was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the first over all pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. James played for 11 seasons with the Cavaliers and averaged 27.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. In 2010, James was traded to the Miami Heat and played until 2014 for the team. In 2014, James intended to return to the Cavaliers and the franchise signed him in 2014. In 2018, James signed to the LA Lakers, and he is a key player for the franchise, averaging 26.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game, as of April 2025.

Hyped as the heir to Michael Jordan’s throne while still being a teenager, LeBron James has exceeded the expectations the world had of him starting at the age of 16. Apart from being on the Mt. Rushmore of basketball, his stance on social justice causes has elevated his name to the sphere of Muhammed Ali and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. James also made history by becoming the first father-son duo to play in the league, appearing alongside his son, Bronny James, on 22nd October, 2024.

What years did LeBron James go to the NBA Finals?

LeBron James made his first NBA Finals in 2007, but could not get his team over the line against the star-studded San Antonio Spurs. Later on, he joined the Miami Heat in the summer of 2010 and formed a Big-Three with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. They went to four straight NBA Finals from 2011 to 2014, winning two championships in 2012 and 2013.

He returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015 and again went to four straight Finals from 2015 to 2018. However, he came out victorious in only his second season there, winning his third championship ring in the process.

In the summer of 2018, LeBron James decided to move to the Los Angeles Lakers. Even though his first season in LA turned out to be a flop, the King, alongside Anthony Davis, managed to get the storied franchise win their 17th NBA Championship and his fourth personal championship. LeBron was also named Finals MVP in all four of his Championship wins.
