Rudy Gobert is a French professional basketball player who plays as a center for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. He is currently playing his 9th season and has been a three-time NBA All-Star. He was selected by the Denver Nuggets with 27 overall choices in the 2013 NBA Draft and was traded to the Utah Jazz on draft night. The nickname "The Stifle Tower, is regarded as one of the top rim protectors in the NBA.

Early Life
Gobert first began playing basketball for the JSC St-Quentin club in 2003, and he later switched to the Saint-Quentin BB team. He began practicing with Cholet Basket's cadet divisions in 2007, and in 2010, he competed with the French under-18 national team in the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, where he finished as the team's top scorer and rebounder. In 2011 Gobert started playing for Cholet's junior team and In the 2011–12 season, Gobert averaged by scoring 4.2 points and grabbed 3.6 rebounds per game for Cholet. Then, the Denver Nuggets selected Gobert with the 27th overall choice in the 2013 NBA Draft, but on draft night, he was traded to the Utah Jazz. Later, in the 2022 offseason, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
