Tyler Herro: A Brief Biography
Tyler Christopher Herro is an American professional basketball player who plays as a Shooting Guard for the Miami Heat in the NBA. He is currently playing his 4th season and has been the youngest player in NBA history to score at least 30 points off the bench when he scored 37 points against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals. He was selected by the Miami Heat as the 13th overall choice in the 2019 NBA Draft. Herro has quickly made a name for himself in the Miami Heat's rotation in the short time he has been a member of the organization.
Early life
Tyler Herro graduated from Greenfield, Wisconsin's Whitnall High School. In his senior year, he averaged 32.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 3.3 steals per game, earning him a spot on the First Team All-State. Tyler Herro verbally committed to the University of Wisconsin at this time, but he later changed his mind after receiving a better offer from the University of Kentucky. Herro was the only starter for Kentucky in all 37 games, averaging 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He finally became perceived as a villain in his final few months as a senior as a result, which he just accepted in stride.
Herro declared for the 2019 Draft on April 12, 2019.

Herro and the Miami Heat agreed to a 4-year, $130 million contract deal on October 2, 2022. In November 2022 Hero made his first career triple-double of 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Atlanta Hawks. Plus, On December 15, Herro outscored the Houston Rockets 111–108 with a career-high 41 points and received five rebounds.
